The NCLETTC Mission
The mission of the National Corrections and Law Enforcement Training and Technology Center, (NCLETTC) as a national training center, is to offer quality training and technology evaluation for criminal justice and public safety agencies in a unique facility and in a cost-effective manner.
NCLETTC will provide a unique, hands-on training experience in a secure environment to enhance established practices and skills through training and technology applications.
NCLETTC will showcase emerging technologies and products and work to increase the public awareness of and confidence in the skills of all public safety organizations.
"Excellence in Training…New Horizons in Technology"
The NCLETTC Focus
Located on the grounds of the former West Virginia Penitentiary in Moundsville, the NCLETTC is a non-profit organization committed to providing progressive training opportunities and testing and evaluation of technologies relevant to the criminal justice and public safety communities.
The Center offers instruction to state, local, federal and international corrections, law enforcement and first responding agencies.
State-of-the art classrooms, an indoor and outdoor firing range, electronic firearms simulator, a technology showcase area and a realistic environment allow corrections, law enforcement and public safety officers to experience hands-on training opportunities in a setting like no other in the nation.
In addition to conducting classes at the Moundsville or Glenville Center, NCLETTC can provide quality instruction via our Mobile Training Team Concept (MTTC), helping to eliminate intrinsic expenses as well as our On-line Training Academy accessible through www.nclettc.org.
The NCLETTC Future
NCLETTC is finalizing plans for enhanced courses in biological/hazardous materials response. Also anticipated are a skid pad, burn house, urban search and rescue platform, tactical assault house, rappel training tower and explosive/dynamic entry/breaching station along with new distance learning programs and expansion of technology evaluation partnerships.
