Description:
Officers attending this class will be taught the different stances of shooting from concealed carry. They will learn how to engage targets while moving from the concealed position as well as close quarter battle and reaction stances. All officers will learn how to shoot both weapon and reaction side while defending themselves against an armed attacker. Also covered will be the various holsters available for concealed weapon carry.
Objectives:
Will be familiar with and be able to demonstrate in practical application various shooting stances
Will be able to shoot while on the move to and from positions of cover from the draw
Will be able execute close quarter stances and drills
Be familiar weapon retention techniques
Be able to fire and retain their weapon from both the weapon and reaction hand.
Requirements:
Off duty/concealable holster
Minimum of 3 magazines/speed loaders
A jacket or vest or fanny pack
Dummy rounds
Minimum 250 rounds of lead free ammunition
Hat
Eye & ear protection
