Description:

All students will be instructed on how to shoot while using a flashlight or lighting accessories. Students will be taught the use of cover, shooting on the move and cover officer drills. They will also learn how to effectively engage a moving target while on the retreat for cover as well as the importance of being able to conduct a reload while on the move, from behind cover and in low light conditions with the strong and reaction hand.

Objectives:

Understand that a high majority of law enforcement shootings take place in low or no light conditions

Will be familiar with and be able to demonstrate in practical application various shooting stances

Will be able to shoot while on the move to and from positions of cover from the draw

Will be able execute close quarter stances and drills

Be familiar weapon retention techniques

Be able to fire and retain their weapon from both the weapon and reaction hand.

All drills will be conducted in low light conditions

Requirements:

Duty Belt w/ weapon

Minimum 250 rounds of ammunition

Eye & ear protection
