Description:

This course covers critical tactical issues often encountered in a corrections environment, including choosing the best equipment for your intended mission, the physical plant, choosing the right personnel, mindset and the necessary tactics to effectively and quickly return a facility to normal operations. This training includes the following during the course of instruction:


Objectives:

Center Axis Relock (C.A.R. Active Defense)

Dynamic entry techniques

Tactical planning

Shield tactics

Less lethal applications

Hostage rescue

Cell extraction

Riot control

Edge weapon defense

Close quarters encounters

High risk inmate movement

Requirements:

Department issued tactical equipment

Body armor

Duty weapon (handgun/shotgun/sub-gun as applicable)

A minimum of 200 rounds of ammunition for handgun

200 rounds of ammunition for sub-gun

Rounds of ammunition for shotgun

Hearing and eye protection

Elbow and knee pads

Respirator/protective mask if issued

Ballistic/Riot shield
