Utilizing the FIST suit (protective DT training suit) officers will receive practical and dynamic training to enhance their proficiency in the areas of policy and legal implications, camera operation, chemical agent application, self defense and tactical approaches necessary in a forced cell move as well as reducing individual and agency liability. This course will also cover critical issues like choosing the best equipment for your intended mission, the physical plant/facility layout, team selection and training, survival mindset and situational awareness as well as the necessary tactics for a successful mission. Officer and inmate safety will be emphasized throughout the course.
