Description:

Officers attending this class will be challenged through practical, realistic exercises. The proper mindset of the correctional professional will be thoroughly discussed as well as up to date training on edged weapon defense, cell extraction, proper area searches, and restraint and disturbance control.

Objectives:

Be motivated to perform and exceed departmental standards

Understand principles of control against edged weapons

Be able to properly and effectively conduct area and person searches

Learn new, simple and safer procedures for the application of mechanical restraints

Learn to work as an effective, professional and well organized team during cell extractions
