Description:

This course is designed for officers responsible for conducting or assisting in providing general and course specific law enforcement, corrections and related instruction to departmental Pre-Service and In-Service classes and officers who are likely to conduct training during multi-agency training sessions. The course will include preparation of lesson plans, training needs assessment and analysis, training liability, methods of instruction, the adult learner and positive instructor techniques. Officers who are to be assigned as departmental training officers and adjunct instructors should attend. Also, officers should be proficient in the use of computers and computer software including word processing and graphics programs.
