HIGH RISK ENTRY INSTRUCTOR

Description:
All students will be instructed in and will instruct in the following areas; planning for a high risk operation, be able to conduct an entry both dynamic and covert, breach properly use a shield, be able to use a long weapon for entry and shoot CQB with both long weapon and handgun. Each student will learn and develop techniques which will enable them to take the knowledge gained during this course and instruct other officers in the above listed techniques, tactics and drills and implement this training into their departmental firearms training program. Students will assume the role of Instructor and develop lesson plans, course content and firing and range drills.
Objectives:
Each student will be able to do and teach ---
Prepare and plan for an operation
Be familiar with and be able to demonstrate the practical application of various entry techniques, both with and without a shield
Be able to shoot while on the move, both handgun and long gun
Be able to execute close quarter stances and drills, both handgun and long gun
Be familiar with weapon retention techniques, both handgun and long gun
Be able to fire and retain their weapon from both the weapon and reaction hand, both handgun and long gun
Will also become very familiar with using a long weapon "in the stack".
Will be able to manually breach a door and understand shotgun breaching
Be able to effectively teach other officers the above listed techniques, prepare for a class and deliver a classroom lecture.

Note:
This IS NOT a basic or entry level class. This is Instructor Level training; student must know the basics before attending this class. We will not have time to teach the basics in this class. You will be teaching a lot of this class to the other students and you must already have the basic skills and knowledge.
